Law Firms Cleared Of Malpractice In Class Action Suit

Law360, New York (September 26, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two law firms that were sued for malpractice after failing to name accounting firm Arthur Anderson & Co. in a class action securities lawsuit have been cleared of wrongdoing by a federal appeals court.

The ruling, issued Sept. 25 by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, affirmed an earlier dismissal of the lawsuit against New York-based law firms Kirby McInternery & Squire LLP and Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossman LLP.
