Merger Would Create National Employment Practice

Law360 (September 26, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A proposed merger between Preston Gates and Kirkpatrick & Lockhart would create a national labor-and-employment practice with more than 90 practicing lawyers in offices from coast to coast.

Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP and Preston Gates & Ellis LLP revealed Monday they are in discussions aimed at a possible combination of their firms by year-end.

If the merger goes through, the resulting firm would comprise approximately 1,400 lawyers in 21 offices located in North America, Europe and Asia.
