Calif. Air Board Postpones Vote On Carbon Fee

Law360, New York (June 25, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The California Air Resources Board has put off until next month a vote on whether to impose the nation's first statewide carbon fee on utilities, oil refineries and other industries.

At a meeting on Thursday, the board decided not to take a vote on the proposal, moving the issue to next month's meeting, said Jon Costantino, manager of the board's climate change planning section.
