Nestle Faces E. Coli Claims From Cookie Lovers

Law360, New York (June 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A week after Nestle USA Inc. recalled some 300,000 cases of its cookie dough for fear of E. coli contamination, consumers allegedly sickened by the dough have promptly started to file lawsuits against the food company.

Two lawsuits were filed Wednesday, one in the Superior Court of Fulton County, Ga., and the other in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, accusing Nestle of negligence and breach of warranty for failing to properly maintain the safety and quality of its raw cookie-dough product....
