DC Circ. Upholds Toss Of Pillsbury Malpractice Feud

Law360, New York (June 26, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Capitol Hill Group's latest attempt to revive its $50 million legal malpractice suit against Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP has failed, with an appeals court rejecting the company's bid to overturn a summary judgment award in favor of the firm and saying CHG should have raised the claims during its Chapter 11 proceedings.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia agreed with a lower court Friday that CHG's claims against Pillsbury were barred by the doctrine of res judicata,...
