IT Exec Gets 3 Years For Role In $2.8M Fraud Scheme

Law360 (September 28, 2018, 8:29 PM EDT) -- A former Illinois information technology firm executive was sentenced Friday to 39 months in prison for taking part in a scheme to steal more than $2.8 million from the company.

Dhru Desai, who was the chief financial officer for now-bankrupt Quadrant 4 System Corp., received his sentence after pleading guilty in May to wire fraud relating to a scheme to falsify company records and financial disclosures to hide the millions of dollars prosecutors say he and then-CEO Nandu Thondavadi embezzled between 2012 and 2016.
