BP, Texas Agree On Pollution Measures At Refinery

Law360, New York (June 29, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- BP Products North America Inc. on Monday agreed to refrain from unlawfully emitting pollutants into the air at its Texas City, Texas, refinery after the state of Texas filed suit in an enforcement action.

The U.S. unit of BP PLC and the state agreed to an injunction in the District Court of Travis County that, according to the attorney general's office, ensures the oil giant will comply with state environmental protection laws until the enforcement action is concluded.
