Judge Allows Claims NatWest Supported Terrorists

Law360, New York (September 28, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge in Brooklyn has cleared the way for a lawsuit against National Westminster Bank PLC brought by 15 families of American victims of terrorist attacks in Israel.

Senior U.S. District Judge Charles P. Sifton ruled Wednesday that the plaintiffs could pursue two of the three claims against NatWest. The plaintiffs have claimed NatWest gave material support or resources to a terrorist organization by offering financial services to multiple charities alleged to have connections to Hamas.
