EPA Nonattainment Rulings On Soot Stand: DC Circ.

Law360, New York (July 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has turned aside dozens of challenges to a 2005 ruling by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that 225 counties across the U.S. failed to attain the required standard for fine particle pollution.

Wednesday's per curiam opinion by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit rejected challenges to the nonattainment rulings brought by nine cities and counties, 10 power industry groups, and three states.
