Rocket Docket Bill Passes Vote By U.S. House

Law360 (September 30, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Highly anticipated legislation creating a pilot program for so-called Rocket Dockets has been cleared by the U.S. House of Representatives, bringing patent attorneys and innovators one step closer to a radical change in IP litigation.

The bill, which was approved by voice vote, will establish a pilot program in certain U.S. district courts to encourage greater expertise in patent cases by directing them to tech-savvy judges.
