Mucinex Maker Sues To Maintain Market

Law360 (October 2, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Adams Respiratory Therapeutics Inc. filed a patent infringement suit Monday in federal court in New Jersey, seeking to protect the market for its best-selling anti-congestion drugs.

The New Jersey-based company filed the lawsuit against Mutual Pharmaceuticals Co., United Research Laboratories Inc. and their parent company, Pharmaceutical Holdings Corp.

The suit comes just after the defendants filed an Abbreviated New Drug Application seeking U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval to make and sell extended-release guaifenesin tablets.
