Feds Say Dreier Deserves 145 Years Behind Bars

Law360, New York (July 8, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Marc Dreier, whose fraud sunk his New York-based law firm and cost victims an estimated $400 million, deserves to die in prison, federal prosecutors told a judge Wednesday.

Dreier should be sentenced to 145 years in prison, or a term that will see him spend the rest of his life incarcerated, prosecutors said in a sentencing memorandum submitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
