Court Sides With Bankruptcy Firm In Britestarr Case

Law360 (October 2, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a setback for a Connecticut-based developer, a district judge has granted summary judgment to a renowned bankruptcy law firm that Britestarr Homes Inc. blamed for allegedly giving it bad advice to seek Chapter 11 protection.

U.S. District Judge Stefan R. Underhill awarded DLA Piper US LLP, one of the largest restructuring groups in the world, summary judgment in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut on Sept. 28.
