Class Cert. Sought For Ford Engine Action In Ky.

Law360, New York (July 13, 2009, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The named plaintiff in a putative class action accusing Ford Motor Co. of unjust enrichment when it installed 2003 model year engines known for defects in certain 2004 model year vehicles has asked a federal judge to certify a class in the case.

"Ford’s conduct is precisely the sort of deception and injury that Kentucky’s consumer protection laws were designed to prevent," said the motion, filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.
