Supreme Court Tosses Antitrust Case Against AT&T

Law360 (October 2, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court said Monday it will not rule on whether a California company is permitted to use state laws to launch a suit against AT&T Inc. for allegedly engaging in illegal tying arrangements in other states.

RLH Industries Inc., an Orange, Calif.-based manufacturer of high-voltage protection devices, filed a suit against AT&T in a California court over limitations in various states that barred it from selling surge-protection equipment to local phone companies in markets where AT&T units already provided such services.
