US Trustee Fights Gibson's Bid To End Ch. 11 Cases
By Rick Archer (December 14, 2018, 10:54 PM EST) -- The U.S. Trustee's Office has asked the Delaware bankruptcy court to hold off on Gibson Brands Inc.'s bid to close its Chapter 11, saying "a number of critical tasks" remains undone and that the company is attempting to improperly consolidate its 12 cases into one.
Trustee Andrew Vara told the court in a motion filed Thursday that there are still unresolved claim objections and fee applications and that Gibson is attempting to slim its case down to save on trustee fees.
