Alito Unrecuses Self From Oracle, Rimini Copyright Costs Row

Law360 (January 3, 2019, 10:34 PM EST) -- U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has unrecused himself from a dispute between computer corporation Oracle and third-party technical support company Rimini Street Inc. that offers the high court an opportunity to resolve a circuit split over how costs are awarded in copyright cases.

Alito did not participate in the court’s September 2018 decision to accept the case, apparently due to his ownership of Oracle stock, which was declared in financial disclosure documents. But the case docket on Thursday said he was no longer recused from the case.
