Bingham Grabs Cox For Orange County Office

Law360, New York (July 17, 2009, 4:05 PM EDT) -- Former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Christopher Cox will move back to Orange County, Calif., and join Bingham McCutchen LLP as a partner in its corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and securities practice groups, the firm announced Friday.

Cox, who served as chairman of the SEC from 2005 until January, will begin working full time for Bingham on Sept. 1. In addition to the work he does as a practicing lawyer, Cox will also help the firm's consulting arm develop legal and political strategies for companies...
