Duane Morris Malpractice Suit Moves Ahead In NJ

Law360, New York (July 17, 2009, 6:48 PM EDT) -- A former shipping executive who alleges that Duane Morris LLP failed to explain to him the implications of stock restrictions in a settlement the firm negotiated for him can proceed with a malpractice suit, a New Jersey appeals court has decided.

The Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey ruled Wednesday that the lower court judge did not abuse his discretion when he granted Joseph Guido's motion for reconsideration and vacated an earlier grant of summary judgment to Duane Morris.
