Judge Denies Caterpillar Request to Block Disney Release

Law360 (October 20, 2003, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge on Monday denied Caterpillar's request for a temporary restraining order to halt sales of Disney's direct-to-DVD film "George of the Jungle 2," the Associated Press reported.

Chief U.S. District Judge Joe B. McDade said there is no indication Disney sought to "somehow poach or free ride" on Caterpillar's trademarks to bolster sales of the movie, according to the Associated Press.
