Motown Bigwig Takes Aim At Willkie Farr

Law360, New York (July 21, 2009, 12:39 PM EDT) -- Lamont Dozier, the mogul behind a slew of hit Motown songs, has accused Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP of breach of contract and fraud related to the firm's representation of him in a deal meant to provide revenue through the securitization of his future music royalties.

At the center of the lawsuit, filed July 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, is the firm's representation of Dozier in a June 1998 securitized transaction with banker David Pullman and brokerage firm Fahnestock...
