KFTC Hits Qualcomm With Record $208M Fine

Law360, New York (July 23, 2009, 7:12 PM EDT) -- The Korean Fair Trade Commission on Thursday levied a 260 billion won ($208 million) fine against Qualcomm Inc. and ordered the company to end its allegedly unfair licensing practices related to chip-set sales.

The ruling handed down by the KFTC marked the largest fine the antitrust agency has ever imposed against a single company.
