EPA Officials To Be Deposed In Sensient Cleanup Suit

Law360, New York (July 23, 2009, 5:06 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has ordered the depositions of two U.S. Environmental Protection Agency officials accused of conspiring to increase cleanup costs for chemical company Sensient Colors Inc., but cleared former EPA chief Christine Todd Whitman from being deposed in the Superfund suit.

In a ruling handed down Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Judge Joseph H. Rodriguez affirmed Whitman's motion to quash a subpoena against her, but found that extraordinary circumstances justified the depositions of EPA on-site coordinator David Rosoff...
