Toshiba Wins Patent Licensing Countersuit For $9.5M

Law360, New York (October 5, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The verdict handed down on Wednesday in favor of Japanese electronics giant Toshiba is likely far worse that Citron could ever have imagined when it initiated the litigation.

Toshiba countersued and won, and Citron was found liable for breach of contract for $9.5 million. To make matters worse for Citron, another hearing will be held to assess additional damages, including interest, that the company owes Toshiba.
