Insurance Cos. Didn't Violate Contracts: 3rd Circ.

Law360, New York (July 24, 2009, 6:57 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has determined that medical providers alleging Travelers Indemnity Co. and a slew of other insurers violated contracts by using a computerized auditing system to calculate reimbursements failed to state a claim.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit affirmed on Wednesday orders that the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey issued on Aug. 26, 2008, dismissing the six related putative class actions against the insurers.
