TracFone Suit Against Alleged Scammer Advances

Law360, New York (July 24, 2009, 7:12 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has refused to throw out a suit by cell phone company TracFone Wireless Inc. against a company that allegedly purchased TracFones in bulk and resold them after tampering with the software.

Judge Alan Gold of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida ruled Friday that TracFone's complaint against Access Telecom Inc. contained sufficient allegations to survive a motion to dismiss.
