Jury Snubs Yacht Makers In Cracking Gel Coat Trial

Law360, New York (July 28, 2009, 4:13 PM EDT) -- Two luxury yacht manufacturers have suffered a blow in their $405 million lawsuit over an allegedly defective gel coat, with a federal jury finding that the defendants weren't liable for damages related to disenchanted purchasers' complaints of cracking in their yachts' cosmetic finish.
