Used-Tech Co. Claims Exemption From DRAM Duties

Law360, New York (July 29, 2009, 5:19 PM EDT) -- World Data Products Inc. has filed suit against the federal government, alleging the company was improperly assessed countervailing duties when it imported several shipments of memory modules from South Korea in 2005.

The suit, filed Tuesday in the U.S. Court of International Trade, claims that U.S. Customs and Border Protection illegally charged World Data the countervailing duties on the modules at a time when the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration had suspended the duties.
