Distributor's Suit Over Faulty Auto Glass Tinting Film Tossed

Law360 (April 12, 2019, 3:59 PM EDT) -- A Virginia federal judge threw out a suit by a South Korean auto glass tinting film distributor against two U.S. suppliers of the film's ingredients, finding the distributor's claim that the suppliers used cheap materials isn't enough to show a specific loss.

South Korea-based Sae Han Sheet Co. Ltd. failed to assert a violation of a “specific contractual obligation,” but instead only cited broad allegations of bad faith by Virginia-based Commonwealth Laminating and Coating and Tennessee-based Eastman Chemical Co., U.S. District Court Judge Jackson L. Kiser ruled Thursday.
