Juul Hit With Suit Alleging E-Cig Marketing To Teens

By Carolina Bolado (April 15, 2019, 1:49 PM EDT) -- A Florida couple filed a proposed class action Monday against e-cigarette maker Juul Labs Inc. and tobacco giant Altria Group Inc. accusing them of intentionally targeting teenagers and concealing the addictiveness of e-cigarettes as well as their nicotine content.

In a suit filed in the Middle District of Florida, Sarasota residents Erin and Jared NesSmith said they are suing on behalf of their 15-year-old daughter who has been using Juul e-cigarettes for about a year and is now suffering from seizures, which they say is a complication of nicotine ingestion.

They claim Juul is following in the steps of Big Tobacco...
