Judge Delays Sentencing Computer Associates Ex-CEO

Law360, New York (October 9, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has postponed the sentencing of Sanjay Kumar, the embattled former chief executive of Computer Associates International Inc. who pled guilty in April to obstruction of justice and securities fraud charges related to the company’s $2.2 billion accounting scandal.

Judge I. Leo Glasser of Federal District Court in Brooklyn bumped back Kumar’s sentencing, originally slated to take place on Thursday, to October 30. He also scheduled a hearing for October 23 in order to allow witnesses to testify on several disputed facts in the...
