Law360, New York (October 9, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP requires its attorneys to step down once they reach 68 years of age. So, with the deadline approaching after 38 years at the firm, antitrust litigator A. Paul Victor decided to take a job as a partner in the litigation department at Dewey Ballantine LLP.
“The firm decided against any special exceptions to its policy, and I wasn’t ready to hang up my spikes,” Victor said. “I still have energy, interest and excitement about practicing law.”
