Law Firms Line Up To Get Paid For Oneida Work

Law360, New York (October 9, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Since flatware maker Oneida Ltd. emerged from Chapter 11 protection in September, lawyers as well as financial and accounting advisors have been lining up to get paid.

On Thursday and Friday, the requests for compensation filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York exceeded $4 million.

The largest request for payment came from Credit Suisse Securities LLC, which is seeking $1.45 million in fees and $216,536 in expenses, includes fees and expenses for its counsel, Weil, Gotshal, Manges LLP. Credit Suisse...
