SEC Beefs Up Enforcement, Subpoena Power

Law360, New York (August 6, 2009, 7:36 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission will create new, specialized investigatory units and speed up the subpoena process in an effort to boost enforcement, the agency has announced.

SEC Enforcement Division Director Robert Khuzami made the announcement on Wednesday as he spoke about his first 100 days with the agency in a speech to the New York City Bar Association.
