Ford Off Hook in 40 Asbestos Suits

Law360, New York (August 7, 2009, 5:25 PM EDT) -- Several dozen plaintiffs who sued Ford Motor Co. over asbestos-related problems have reached an agreement with the automaker to drop their claims.

About 40 plaintiffs agreed to dismiss all their claims against Ford with prejudice, the two sides said in a joint motion and order of dismissal filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. All the dismissed cases originate in U.S. district courts in North Carolina.
