Rising Tide Of Leave Laws Has Employers Treading Water

Law360 (May 8, 2019, 2:02 AM EDT) -- Employers are struggling with compliance challenges posed by the ongoing proliferation of state and local sick leave mandates, according to a new survey from Littler Mendelson PC.

The management-side employment powerhouse found that 69% of the approximately 1,330 in-house lawyers, human resources professionals and executives who responded to its annual employer survey reported that state and local paid sick leave laws have "created compliance challenges" for their businesses.
