Investor Sues BBC Equities Over Alleged $50M Fraud

Law360, New York (August 12, 2009, 6:00 PM EDT) -- An investor has filed a putative class action against investment firm BBC Equities LLC, which federal regulators have said was actually a $50 million Ponzi scheme.

Plaintiff J. Lincoln Crocker invested $250,000 with Michigan-based BBC Equities in August 2008, according to a 21-count complaint filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Also named in the complaint are John J. Bravata, owner and CEO of BBC Equities; his son Antonio Bravata; and Richard J. Trabulsy, a co-founder of the firm....
