3rd Circ. Denies Cintas Workers Punitive Damages

Law360, New York (August 13, 2009, 4:20 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has rejected calls by a group of Cintas garment workers to reconsider a ruling denying them punitive damages against a union found to have violated their employee privacy rights.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit partially reversed the initial decision in 2008, remanding the matter on the basis that punitive damages should be decided by a jury.
