Pillsbury Partner Battles Ex-Firm Darby Over Loan

Law360, New York (August 13, 2009, 7:27 PM EDT) -- New York-based intellectual property boutique Darby & Darby PC may be forced to deal with legal matters outside its expertise now that one of its former attorneys is suing to recover more than $92,000 he allegedly lent the firm.

Raj Davé, now a partner at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, filed suit last week in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, claiming Darby has breached its contract by refusing to return the money Davé contributed.
