GOP Sen. Blasts House Antitrust Probes Into Tech Giants

Law360 (June 5, 2019, 7:29 PM EDT) -- Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, questioned the need for Congress to investigate antitrust abuses Wednesday after reports that members of the House of Representatives plan to hold hearings into the market power of internet giants like Amazon and Google.

The antitrust subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee said it will hold "a series of hearings" on online market power, with plans for "a top-to-bottom review of the potential of giant tech platforms to hold monopoly power," according to a Monday announcement from Rep. Doug Collins, R-Ga.
