New York IP Firms Merge

Law360 (March 23, 2004, 12:00 AM EST) -- Two New York City intellectual property boutiques have merged following the death last year of one of the firm’s name partners.

Bazerman & Drangel, P.C. and James & Franklin, LLP, two small Manhattan-based firms, said they decided to combine their resources to better serve their clients.

The merger, effective March 1st, follows the passing last December of prominent IP attorney Steven Bazerman, who co-founded Bazerman & Drangel and was instrumental in developing the current notion of trade dress.
