Guarantor Facing Committal In $20M Credit Suisse Loan Fight

Law360, London (June 18, 2019, 12:06 AM BST) -- A Finnish businessman who skipped a London court hearing over a $20 million Credit Suisse AG loan for a private jet that he guaranteed has had his case sent to a High Court judge, who could order the man to pay the remaining amount due.

Ahti Vilppula did not appear at a May 7 hearing in England's capital that he was previously ordered to attend to disclose how he planned to pay a £2.07 million ($2.59 million) judgment handed down for the lender in January.
