NY Gov. Taps Insurance Atty To Lead Top Regulator

Law360, New York (August 17, 2009, 6:31 PM EDT) -- New York Gov. David A. Paterson has chosen James J. Wrynn, a former insurance attorney and the most recent executive director of the New York State Insurance Fund, to serve as superintendent of the state's Insurance Department.

Wrynn will take over the top position at the department from acting superintendent Kermitt Brooks on Aug. 20, subject to confirmation by the state Senate, Paterson said Friday.
