Nissan Brake Case Plaintiff Seeks Class Cert.

Law360, New York (August 18, 2009, 1:53 PM EDT) -- Plaintiffs' counsel are asking a judge to certify a class action alleging that Nissan North America Inc. erroneously said a model of the Altima was equipped with an anti-lock braking system and delayed telling customers of the mistake.

In a motion filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee, counsel for the plaintiffs told a judge that class treatment was the best way to handle the lawsuit involving the 2006 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE with manual transmission.
