SCE Pens Solar Power Project Deal

Law360, New York (August 18, 2009, 5:17 PM EDT) -- Southern California Edison Co. said Tuesday it had inked a deal with solar module manufacturer First Solar Inc. to build two large-scale solar power projects that will produce 1.2 billion kilowatt-hours of clean energy per year.


SCE, California’s largest electric utility, said the installations would have a generation capacity of 550 megawatts of photovoltaic solar electricity, enough to provide power to about 170,000 homes.
