Pacific Shipping Antitrust MDL Dismissed

Law360, New York (August 19, 2009, 6:27 PM EDT) -- Invoking the filed rate doctrine, a judge has ruled that the plaintiffs have failed to sufficiently plead a claim in the massive antitrust multidistrict litigation alleging a conspiracy among shipping companies to fix rates and eliminate competition in the market for freight services between the continental U.S., Hawaii and Guam.
