Injunction Granted In India Shrimp Duties Case

Law360, New York (August 19, 2009, 2:50 PM EDT) -- The federal government is now barred from assessing lowered anti-dumping duties on frozen warmwater shrimp from India, after a federal judge granted an injunction requested by domestic shrimp processors who sued the U.S. for decreasing the duties.

Judge Delissa A. Ridgway of the U.S. Court of International Trade granted the preliminary injunction on Tuesday, a day after the Ad Hoc Shrimp Trade Action Committee made the request.
