Hilfiger, Others Sue US Over Gender-Based Duties

Law360, New York (August 20, 2009, 3:20 PM EDT) -- Ten new companies — including Pacific Sunwear of California Inc., Tommy Hilfiger USA Inc. and Marshalls of MA Inc. — have sued the U.S. over clothing import duties, saying the government violated the Fifth Amendment when it charged disparate duties on products targeted to different genders and age groups.
