Trump Nominates DOL Wage Lawyer In EEOC Package Deal
Law360 (July 3, 2019, 12:26 PM EDT) -- President Donald Trump on Wednesday nominated U.S. Department of Labor official Keith Sonderling to fill one of two vacancies on the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and put up current EEOC Commissioner Charlotte Burrows for a second term.
Sonderling, a former attorney at Gunster, is currently deputy administrator of the DOL’s Wage and Hour Division. He also served as acting head of that agency for about four months prior to the confirmation of current WHD administrator Cheryl Stanton in April. He joined the DOL in September 2017 as a senior policy adviser at WHD.
