Quebec Judge Rejects Class Action For Paxil Claims

Law360, New York (August 24, 2009, 5:51 PM EDT) -- A Canadian judge has refused to authorize a nationwide class action accusing GlaxoSmithKline Inc. of misrepresenting the possibility that patients taking Paxil could develop a dependency on the antidepressant, the first time a Quebec court has rejected a class action over a pharmaceutical product.
